Pathmaking!

I have some very specific ideas about how I want Moonhaven to eventually look. I haven't gotten the terraforming tools (Or the Able sisters, what the crap, ladies?! I've seen Mabel ONE TIME) so I've dragged out my incredibly rusty pixel art skills to make a couple path ideas so I can lay them down to temporarily start planning layouts as I place the last of my villager houses and prepare for other buildings/areas/etc.

I use the pattern tool in the links on the right-I really like it! Well, I use Photoshop, then convert it using the pattern tool. :)

Anyway, I plan to add corners to the stepping stones, and some rough edge patterns to the brick, as well as a few different colors for both, but here are the beginnings for folks who're interested. :)

Starting over?

Hi, folks! I restarted my island a few days ago.  I was just unhappy with the layout and as more villagers moved in I was just more and more unhappy with everything, so I chucked it all and started over.

I'm glad I did. I love my island layout so much, and I'm setting things up, from the get-go, to be exactly where I want them. I miss Dom, but hopefully, I'll have a chance to add him back in at some point. 

My starting villagers are Hamlet (adorable!) and Reneigh, who I love already. AND MERENGUE JUST MOVED IN TODAY. I AM EXCITE. Since this is my first Animal Crossing game (I mean, I played around with Pocket Camp, but I don't count it haha), I don't know crap about villagers, so I am probably just gonna try to build my island around villagers I find adorable. :D

My fruit is cherries, my flowers are mums (YAY!), and Leif had Hyacinths for sale yesterday, so my flower breeding is slowly getting going again.  I will just have to hit up my husband's island for some roses. :D 

I'm excited about the direction things are going and I look forward to sharing more with folks. <3 

A Good Omen.

So, today, I saw a double rainbow while I was checking the flowers on my island, and I want y'all to know I needed it. 

In fact, I'd been trying to figure out a good way to start this little endeavor, and I kept saying, 'A, not yet. I don't know when, but not yet.'

Well, I have to post a rainbow picture, right? I mean, I'm obligated at this point, yeah? And what better omen than a double rainbow?

So, here's a picture of a pretty rainbow from Moonhaven this morning, and while you check it out and soak in the serene vibes, I will introduce myself.

I am Amythiel. I mean, I'm not, really, but my adorable little Animal Crossing avatar-well that's her name. And since this blog is gonna be all AC, all the time, Amythiel is what I'll go by. :D

About me, you say? Well, I'm kind of an old lady, who likes to play video games- especially if there's fishing or crafting or smooching. And since AC:NH has 2 of those three, as well as a lovely setting and so many cool things to do and see and be, well, this is definitely one of my favorite places to be right now, especially given... *gestures broadly to the world in general* ...all this.

Anyway. I'm really into trying to breed some very specific flowers for Moonhaven, so I will be blogging about all that. As well as just random things on a random schedule because I'm flaky.
